Test Overview
Background:TestMyBrainMultipleObjectTracking(Hawksetal.,2023;Singhetal.,2023;Strongetal.,2023;Treviñoetal.,2021)isatestofvisuospatialattentionandvisualworkingmemory. Thetestisadaptedfromthetraditionalmultipleobjecttrackingparadigms(Storm&Pylyshyn,1988)forremoteadministration.
TaskParameters:Oneachtrial,asubsetofblackdotsaredesignatedastargetsbyturninggreen,beforeturningbacktoblackandmovingaroundthescreenamongstnon-targetdots.Participantsattempttokeeptrackofthosetargetdotsduringthe5secondsofmovement;oncethedotsstopmoving,participantsmustselectthedotsoriginallydesignatedastargets.Aftercompletingtwopracticetrials,participantscompleted6testtrialseachattargetsetsizesof3,4,and5dots.
PrimaryOutcome:Thesuggestedprimaryoutcomeofthetestistheproportionoftargetdotscorrectlyidentified.
UserInput:Participantsrespondeitherbytouching(touch-compatibledevices)orclickingtheirdotselections.
AlternateTaskVersions:Alternateformsofthetestareavailableforrepeatedadministration.Additionally, anultra-brief,EMA-compatibleversionisavailable(Hawksetal.,2023;Singhetal.,2023),whichcontainsonlysixtrials,allatasetsizeoffivetargetdots.
